Learn LED Pattern and Issues With Netgear R6300 Router Connection

Netgear R6300 is a dual band wireless 802.11ac router with gigabit speed. It has four Ethernet port and one USB port. Modem is connected to
Internet port of Netgear 6300 router and computers are connected to LAN ports and by wireless connection. There are 4 LED you can find on netgear R6300 Wireless ac dual band router. They are Power, Internet, Wireless and USB. In this review we can check each different states of the LED and what that means.


At first we can check the Power LED. If the router is ready to work, power LED shows solid green. If the power LED on Betgear R6300 router is blinking green
it shows there is some issues with router firmware. So by checking the power LED we can determine whether the firmware on Netgear R6300 router is corrupted. If the netgear router is starting up, you will see solid amber on the power LED. When you press the reset button or the firmware is updated you can see blinking amber.

If you see the Internet LED is solid green, it means Internet connection is perfect and ready to go online. So by checking the internet LED on Netgear R6300 Router, you can understand the status of Internet connection on this device. You can see Internet LED solid amber when Netgear R6300 detects the connection with modem. If there is no connection to the modem is yet detected, Internet light will be off. If you see the wireless LED solid blue it means Netgear R6300 is working on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. if it is in WPS mode, LED will be blinking. If Netgear R6300 wireless router is not not working wirelessly, wireless LED will be off.

If Netgear router detects any USB device connected to it, USB LED light must be solid blue. If any USB HDD is trying to connect to the router, USB light will be blinking blue. If you see the USB Light off, there is no USB device is connected. It is like you have pressed the safely remove hardware button and the USB device is ready to unplug from Netgear router.
