Location To Find Files Saved in Desktop in Computer Hard Disk

When I started using Windows computers I was very curious to know the exact location in hard disk where the files we save in desktop are stored. I did know that hard drive is the place where all the files and programs we save in our computer are stored. Now it is a funny question because everybody knows the exact computer memory location where desktop icons are saved but at that time I had no idea about it. Regularly I browse through different folders on my computer to find the files I saved in desktop. I am sure you too had such naive doubts when you started using computers and you must be happy at the point when you had resolved the issue by yourself. My case is too same. I took days to find the location of desktop items in hard drive. The finding is:

Computer user (user name )/Desktop

Desktop is saved in Windows user and you can find the all items saved in desktop in that folder. Though saving too many files in desktop is not recommended, I am sure most of us use desktop to save very necessary files we need.
