The Good and Bad About Invisible Braces

The invisible brace is touted as a revolutionary device that replaces metal braces in terms of fixing misaligned teeth. Its popularity comes from the fact that it is "invisible." You wear it on your teeth as you would wear a glove on your hand. It will then act similarly to a dental brace: moving your teeth into a straighter position, giving you a better-looking smile.

But why has the traditional metal brace not gone obsolete? The answer is simple. As with everything else, nothing is perfect. Not even these invisible braces. There are pros and cons of invisible braces.

Pros

As mentioned above, invisible braces are popular because they're invisible. Most people often don't like getting braces because they look hideous all throughout the treatment; completely disregarding the great reward if they wait. With invisible braces, nobody really notices that you're wearing them unless they really look at your teeth or if sunlight reflects on the brace.

Another good thing about invisible braces is that it is removable. You will be able to take them off during meals and put them back on after brushing. This is in sharp contrast to having metal braces where you have to think twice before eating something that may get stuck on the wires.

Also, if you accidentally eat while wearing an invisible brace and a morsel gets caught in the brace, you can remove it for cleaning.

Finally, invisible braces give you a preview of what you'd look like after treatment is done. For instance, you have overlapping teeth. When wearing the brace, you'll noticeably have straighter teeth. Simply put, your smile while wearing the brace is what your smile will be once you're done with it.

Cons

The first and more popular disadvantage of invisible braces is the fact that it is costlier than metal braces. The braces will be molded and based off of your teeth, so no two braces are similar. However, if you can find the right dentist, you may get these invisible braces for cheap.

The second con of invisible braces is that treatment takes longer than metal braces. Basically, since metal braces are a lot more uncomfortable, you're trading discomfort for a longer treatment time if you get invisible ones.

Finally, invisible braces aren't for everyone. While adults will have no problems with invisible braces, metal braces are still preferred for teens. Of course there are invisible braces for teens, but they aren't as effect as they are on adults for some reason.

Also, they are not for those who have a habit or breaking routine. If you get invisible braces but are getting a little too liberal with removing them, you will either never get the results you need or will have to wear them for a longer duration.

It's best to understand the pros and cons of invisible braces as to not be surprised with how long you have to wear them or how your smile looks really fake when hit with a light source at a certain angle. Most of all, talk to your dentist and seek advice on how to get one.

The Concepts of Social Networking in Today's World

In today’s high tech world, networking occurs as much on computers as in “real life” social situations. Social media has opened up a vast new frontier for people to connect with others. Before the advent of social media, people generally networked at social gatherings like mixers, fundraising galas and similar events. Of course, such “face-to-face” networking is still important and common, but social media allows possibilities that did not exist before. One of the problems with older networking models is that often the same people showed up at all the events. The percentage of the population that is active in community events tends to be rather low. On the other hand, almost everyone these days uses social media. Vast reach of social networking According to the latest stats, Facebook alone has more than 900 million active users worldwide with the number continuing to grow. Twitter and Google+ also have large numbers of active users that cross all demographic categories. ...
