Yahoo Will Close all Messenger Public Chat Rooms On December 14

A tough decision by Yahoo about Yahoo Messenger public chat. They declared they will shut down all Yahoo public chat rooms by Dec 14.
Yahoo clears they are going to discontinue features which are no longer adding enough values for users. I wonder why Yahoo thinks Yahoo messenger is not adding any value to messenger users. It is one of the leading online messenger (of course free of charge) with a little trouble from spammers. Though spammers are a little disturbance for me, I personally like Yahoo Messenger. I do not think Yahoo decided to discontinue messenger just because of their inability to fight the spammers. They are one of the leading IT firm and has the potential to beat spammers.

Yahoo messenger is not just the product they are discontinuing. Along with Yahoo messenger, we are going to miss Yahoo! Messenger Pingbox, Yahoo! Messenger inter operability with Microsoft Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Voice Phone In and Phone Out feature are also condemned. By January 30, 2013 we will no longer able to use Yahoo Voice Phone service. Those who have funds remain in the account will get a refund from Yahoo. Other three features will be discontinuing from 14 December 2012.

I am optimistic and feel Yahoo will introduce another wonderful product instead of Yahoo Messenger. So I am waiting for their another announcement about the introduction of a better messenger service free from possible spammers.
