New International Debit Card Transaction Limit For HDFC Users Per Day

Due to Reserve Bank of India Guidelines, HDFC bank has set a new limit for maximum daily International transactions. By default every Debit cards issues by HDFC bank has 50,000 as the maximum limit for any international transactions per day. It includes shopping, ATM cash withdrawals, Online payment through international websites etc. This new restriction is valid from 1st December 2013 for very HDFC users. If any user is in need to have a different per day international transaction limit, he must visit any HDFC branch or can avail the phone banking facility offered by HDFC.

Reason For New International Daily Transaction Limit

It is because of the guidelines by Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It is an added layer of security for the interest of common bank debit card users. This new limit is for international transactions and the daily transaction limit set for transactions in India is same as you set before.


How to Change New International Daily Transaction Limit

You can lift this new limit by either visiting any HDFC branch or by using phone banking.
